Our Mission

Prime Bark is the passion project of Mark Reynolds, a career engineer with an appreciation for modern art. Woodworking provides the perfect opportunity to join form and function to create unique, heirloom quality workpieces. Surrealists and Abstract Expressionists like Escher, Dali and Pollock created amazing new designs. Our small-batch woodworking studio focuses on building distinctive, design-forward workpieces meant to be used, celebrated, and kept for a lifetime.

Over time, the work has evolved toward more complex layouts, more demanding builds, and more intentional material choices. As a result, our pricing reflects the time, materials, and precision required to craft clients a one-of-a-kind showpiece. There are many quality manufactured cutting boards available, many of which I own and use! I'm always happy to recomment a quality vendor if you're not looking for a Prime Bark workpiece.
